I received The Dusty Scholarship to attend UAHuntsville Fall 2010 to Spring 2012.

The support that I was given by Mr. Charern was enormously helpful. Before I was extended the opportunity to be a part of this foundation, I worked several jobs while attending school. Most of my school semesters would have to be part-time or none at all because of lack of funds. Having Dusty's support for the last two years allowed me to minimize my number of jobs, reduce my work hours, and attend school full-time. Now I'm graduated! :) And I'm positive that I would not have been able to graduate without Dusty's generosity.

I recently accepted a job offer from Results Physiotherapy, a Nashville-based physical therapy clinic. I will be the Lead Tech at their Huntsville location starting late June. I'm extremely excited for this opportunity. I feel like I have already been given so much, and I am incredibly grateful for my good fortune in landing a job so quickly after finishing school. My plans from here are to just absorb as much as I can from this experience and give my absolute all to this company. Results is aggressively expanding these next couple of years, so I hope that with a lot of hard work and a little luck I will get the chance to move up quickly within the company.

Ultimately, I would like to own a gym and work with athletes on performance enhancement. It would be a full functioning gym- open to the public, however, I would work with individuals in their respective sports/hobbies. In addition to that, I would like to get to the position to where I could offer my (would-be) expertise and sponsor a local school/sports club as a volunteer athletic trainer. That would require graduate school… so I'm still thinking that through. Specific sports that I would love to work with because of either past participation or just general interest are figure skating, ballet, gymnastics, hockey, and basketball. I'm looking forward to using the experience I get from working in a physical therapy clinic and whatever other opportunities I'm fortunate enough to be a part of to work towards this goal. Many thanks to Dr. Dusit (Dusty) Charern.
